One Deck Dungeon: Relics of the Forge

Hello friends and dungeon associates! The first week is coming to a close, and it has been an eventful few days. My computer is happily back and functioning after some replacement parts, the folks at MicroCenter crushed it and got things tested and done in under 24 hours! Kudos to them, for sure.

Stretch Goals

With over 1500 backers, we have reached our first Stretch Goal, +1 Relic! That brings us to 9, and extends the number of Trivia Teams whose relic-names will be guaranteed to be in the expansion to 2. Each +1 Relic will increase both of those numbers!

We hope to hit lots more goals in the coming weeks :)

Our campaign's stretch goals are *all* backer-count based. Back for $1 and you're part of the stretch goal process - you can support the campaign in that way even if you plan to buy it at retail later!

Relics Riddle #1 Answer

The poll for our first wordplay riddle is closed, and exactly half of you got it right! Here's how each of the items was concealing a Monster:



The start and end of each item's name can be combined to form a monster: DRAGON, HARPY, MIMIC, and TREANT. The [MI]dnight blue cera[MIC] was the mimic!

The rest of the riddles will employ different wordplay tricks, good luck with them, and I'm absolutely thrilled that lots of folks enjoyed this one.

Streaming

We just finished today's stream on Twitch (You can always watch the VOD early at https://twitch.tv/asmadigames/videos/ ). It'll be up on YouTube sometime this weekend, we played through a full demo floor of Relics and then some development chat plus a second shorter game.

We'll be doing streams next Tuesday and Friday at 2PM Eastern each. Hope you tune in!

Campaign Streamlining / Updates

We've made a bunch of small edits to the images and wording on the BackerKit page to make things clearer and easier to understand for newcomers - if you've got any feedback feel free to share it! We want as many folks to come in and enjoy our new Dungeon offering as possible :)

Greetings and good morning, friends of the Dungeon. We funded in our first day, are over 1000 backers, and are on our way to more adventures!

Hundreds of you have already tried our riddles, and after peeking at the results, some of you are even correct. Nice work :)

So the Forge is hot, the campaign is hot, the CPU is hot, which means - wait, the CPU is hot? That's not supposed to happen! Indeed, my computer is registering CPU temperatures of Undesirable Levels and turned itself off. It should not be doing this! It is two years old. So, today will unfortunately be mired more in computer repairs than in doing all the cool things I'd like to be doing for the second day of our BackerKit campaign.

Cross your fingers for me, and if anyone knows a good Ice Mage, please send them my way. Ideally, this will not impact the Friday stream. We'll keep you all posted.

Growing the Campaign

1000 of you have already backed the campaign, but we'd love to hit all the stretch goals in our list! If you want to help, the best thing you can do is just tell your friends. The more folks that know we're live, the better.

Really though, the only way to reach the most people is for someone to make a TikTok where they roll dice, every die rolls a 1, and they flip the table in fiery rage. I'm pretty sure that's how the Internet works in 2024. So if any of you has really bad luck, get to it!

Hello, friends and dungeon associates. It is 2PM on Launch Day, and we're well on our way to funding Relics of the Forge (500 backers woo), hurray!

We just wrapped up our Launch Day Stream a bit ago, which you can watch here, or in the Streams section of our BackerKit page. I showed off a number of cards and went over the mechanics of Relics with the rest of the Asmadi Team:



Also, we've opened our first Relic Riddle, which is available below or on the Trivia Challenge tab on the BackerKit page. Instead of Trivia questions (we don't have many!) we've made wordplay riddles. Each has a correct answer, and that answer will be revealed each Friday during our Dev streams. It might take a bit to figure it out - these aren't easy :)  

Joining a Team lets you choose a relic you'd like to see added to the game - the top scoring teams on the riddles will have their relic added to the final product!
